**5th Annual Berkeley Poetry Festival - 2004**
The 4th Annual Berkeley Poetry Festival was another wonderfully successful five hour event that was held at the Berkeley Community Media Studios. The Festival was broadcast live on Channel 25 and consisted of a 2 hour Poetry Slam and a 3 hour Open Mike. A *Private Readings Studio* was open for 5 hours to any poet who wanted to read their work. A Poet's Exchange Table was set up outside the studios. The *Festival* will be shown repeatedly throughout the year on Channel 25. The tapes will be donated to the Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley and made available for other Public Access stations. Mother's Hen is planning to become a non-profit organization that will host many arts events in the future. Louis Cuneo will become the executive director of the organization & Mark States will take over as the new coordinator of the *Berkeley Poetry Festival. The Festival* will be held at the new Gaia Theater in downtown Berkeley and will still broadcast live through a feed line from Channel 25.
